Schlumbergera 'Gold Charm' The Yellow Christmas Cactus This is much sought-after Yellow Christmas Cactus, a vigorous grower and short-day bloomer in a cheerful classy gold color, especially striking next to the more common red and magenta cacti. Easy to grow, Schlumbergera 'Gold Charm' requires bright light but must be sheltered from the hot summer sun. Flowering is induced by reducing watering, temperature and daylenght in November. Schlumbergera is not as exacting in its requirements as other short-day bloomers like Pointsettia or Kalanchoe. Needs to dry between watering, but likes considerably more water than other cactus.
