Starling-Resistant Flicker House
Flickers love flicker houses, but unfortunately, starlings do, too! This experimental design exploits the flickers' tree climbing ability. Approaching the entry from below, the opening is protected from starling and predator access by a Plexiglas shield. The fron opens for clean up, and the house is supplied with inviting wood chips.
